Robert Norman Ross (aka Bob Ross) was an American painter, art instructor, and television host on ‘The Joy of Painting’ that aired from 1983 to 1994. He is also often seen many times on internet memes.

Although he was a public television personality, Bob Ross was certainly not a well-known artist back then. His fame came in the 21st century through Youtube and other mediums. He was known to be modest, friendly, and a good person during his lifetime, which may have been why people wanted to bring him back. I sometimes watch Bob Ross’s videos to feel calm and happy—and it works. It’s amazing how his videos make the audience so satisfied. The sweep of his paintbrush on the canvas looks easy, but it has depths that not anyone can follow through. Like magic—he draws magnificent artwork by the end of each video. While he paints, he sometimes uses metaphors of his painting to connect with our life to all ages:
