Many World Interpretation by Hugh Evertt

It may be a philosophical thought that strikes me once a while. We live in a 4th-dimensional life, where a subject is moved towards one direction (also known as time). For instance, we are only able to go through one pathway in life. We cannot live a life with different jobs simultaneously. However, we never know if the 5th-dimensional life exists. If 5th-dimensional exists, we are able to live out a different timeline in our life that leads to a different ending. Isn’t it fascinating to experience more than one life?

But the reality is that we can only see and have consciousness in our current timeline.

All the good times and memories, once gone, will never come back. It will only remain in our thoughts throughout our lifetime. It also means that we are only able to experience a certain event once in a lifetime. Even if we take the same route to our work, all days are different and there won’t be a day that is exactly the same. And if it is the same, it wouldn’t be pleasant as we can see from the movie “Happy Death Day”.

What we can do instead is to live the current life as if it is the best version out of all the potential timeline possible. Maybe, our whole life is just a flashback before we die. Who knows what will happen we die? Maybe restart with our current life with a different timeline? The more we get into this topic, it is harder to find the answer because no one has ever experienced this event.

Instead of hoping to have the “next life” become the best life, we should always work towards making “this” life the best as it can be. One day, we might be able to find the answer to the universe and our lives, but for now, it is important to continue with our current timeline as it will never come back (from what we currently know).

If we do ever come back, which timeline would you start from? The day you met your first love? The day you had quality time with your parents?

It’s exciting to have these outside thoughts once a while and realize how our minds can be beyond reality.
